Become a one-day deputy commissioner

To become deputized to perform a marriage ceremony for family or friends within California.

A one-day commission is valid for seven days.

Instructions

The form through the link lists the information needed to obtain a one-day deputy commissioner.
Valid government issued photo ID is required for the applicant becoming a one-day deputy.
There is an $80.00 fee to become deputized.
Please come to our office and complete the application through our self-service using the information from the form provided.

Applicants can start the process online but need to come into 110 to finish the process/payment.

Processing times may vary. Requests are done within the same day taking approximately 20 minutes.
